How to Add Text to .jpg Printables in Microsoft Word:
(The following tutorials were created on a Mac computer. If you have a PC, it will look slightly different than these images, but the instructions will basically be the same)
Step by Step Instructions:
Open a new blank document by going to New > Blank Document.
Change the orientation to Landscape if desired by clicking Layout > Orientation > Landscape.
Change the margins to 0” for borderless printing or the smallest margin your printer can accommodate. Layout > Margins > Custom Margins
Insert a picture by going to Insert > Pictures > Picture from File and selecting the desired jpg file. Click insert.
Insert a text box by going to Insert > Text Box > Draw a Text Box. Click and drag it to the desired size and location. Adjust as needed by clicking and dragging on the white square boxes.
Format the text box by going to Shape Format > Format Pane > Shape Options and under Fill select No fill. Under Line select No line.
Type the desired words or quote into the text box. You can also copy and paste a quote directly from the General Conference Talk. https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2019/04?lang=eng
In the Home menu, format the text as desired by changing the font style, size and color.
Add as many text boxes as needed. Copy and paste to duplicate if needed.
Print the pages by clicking on the printer icon in the top menu. Change printer settings to borderless printing if you don’t want white margins. Click Print. Trim if desired.
